Sambalpur: 10th Grade Student Victim of Mischief in Dhanupali; Gave Birth to a Stillbirth Child, Investigation Initiated After Family Files Complaint
Sambalpur: A 15-year-old girl, who was a 10th-grade student, fell victim to a terrible incident. She recently gave birth to a stillbirth baby (Stillbirth is when a baby dies in the womb after 20 weeks of pregnancy). This shocking event came to light after the girl was admitted to the Burla Hospital last Saturday due to illness.
At the hospital, the minor delivered a stillbirth child. When her family members questioned her, they learned that she had been a victim of mischief (meaning a crime or wrongdoing).
On Monday, the family lodged a written complaint at the Dhanupali police station regarding this incident. The police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.
According to the information received, the minor was returning home from school a few months ago. At that time, two miscreants (wrongdoers or criminals) caught her and committed a crime against her. She said that the miscreants had tied a cloth around her face, so she couldn’t even recognize them. Out of fear, she didn’t tell her family about the incident.
The minor girl stated that she didn’t know she had become pregnant as a result of the crime committed against her. It was only when she was admitted to the hospital that the truth came to light, and she gave birth to a stillbirth child.
