Sambalpur: 4 child laborers rescued, Show Cause Notice to Owner
Sambalpur: There have been allegations of child labor in Sambalpur in many places for many days. After repeated complaints, the district labor department has expressed its concern. Under the close supervision of the District Labor Officer and District Child Protection Officer, the Labor Department, Dhanupali Police, and volunteer organization “Aadarsh” wings were jointly raided at various places. 4 child laborers were rescued from multiple shops in Dhanupali and Motijharan areas, 2 children and 2 teenagers. 2 children were brought to Shishu Ashram by the labor department on Wednesday. Show cause notices will be issued to the owners of the shops from which the child laborers were rescued, Labor Department official Satrujit Sahu said. The administration has said that this raid will continue.
In-charge Labor Officer Pushpa Minz, District Child Protection Officer Suchismita Patnaik, Ranjan Naik of Adarsh Institute, Labor Department Officer Shatrujit Sahu, Yogesh Bishi, Atur Khan and Dhanupali Police were present.
