Sambalpur: A young man fell into the trap in the name of travels ticket booking and became a victim of fraud of Rs. 58,000

Sambalpur: While cyber fraud is not stopping in Sambalpur, another youth from Khetrajpur police station area has fallen into the trap of cyber fraud. A young man has become a victim of fraud of Rs. 58,000 after going to make a booking through Travels.

According to the information received, Neelam Lamba of Balaji Mandir area of Khetrajpur police station had planned to move to a place with his family. He searched on google to book tickets through Travel Agency. Then he opened a website from Google and tried to book tickets on 18th March but it could not be done.

Later, he received calls from 2 unknown numbers and asked for various information. Neelam trusted him as the fraudster introduced himself as a bank officer. Later, 58 thousand rupees were deducted from his account. After learning that he was a victim of fraud, he lodged a complaint in written at the Khetrajpur police station. The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
