Burla: The Burla link has now come to light in the case of the kidnapping and murder of a minor student from Jharsuguda. The accused abducted the boy from Jharsuguda on the day of the incident and brought him to Burla. Jharsuguda police conducted a search in the city yesterday night and today in the afternoon. A police team reached the house of Ganesh Naik of Burla , where the boy kept at night after the abduction, and conducted an investigation. The police have already taken Ganesh into their custody since yesterday, but today the Jharsuguda police have brought Ganesh with them and conducted further investigation.

The police team under the leadership of Jharsuguda SDPO Nirlam Mohapatra and in the presence of Town Police Station IIC Savitri Bal reached Burla town and reached the Ganesh house where the minor boy was kept. The police also brought Ganesh with them. The police have investigated where the boy was kept and in what condition, what happened that night. Ganesh has also informed the police about everything. The minor was brought and kept in Ganesh’s house that night. At night, the parents, including Ganesh, left the minor at home and went to Metakani restaurant on Sambalpur University Road to get dinner. Ganesh told the restaurant owner that he has come to take food for his friends from Jharsuguda. After that they bought three plates of chana masala,9 rotis and left again in the car. All these scenes have been captured in the CCTV of the restaurant which has been seized by the Jharsuguda police.

Later, the police went to Ganesh’s house and checked the room where the minor was kept hostage and seized many items. Also the said room has been sealed. How did Ganesh know the accused? After knowing that the minor was kept alone in the house as a hostage, Ganesh forbade it or not. Questions have arisen whether Ganesh was aware of the murder incident or not. As per information, Ganesh is posted as Permanent Attendant in Anesthetic Department in Vimsar Burla.
