Sambalpur: Cheruapada Residents Take Water Issues to District Collector’s Office

Sambalpur: Frustrated by an ongoing water crisis, residents of the Cheruapada locality under the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation took their issues directly to the district collector. Faced with continuous water scarcity, the community decided to step up its demands for a solution.

According to sources, the water problem in Cheruapada has long existed, causing severe problems for people living there. Frustrated by the lack of constant water supply, the residents had already filed complaints with the Public Health Department’s Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), requesting immediate action.

Despite these complaints, the water situation remained unresolved, causing inhabitants to face daily challenges. The situation had become intolerable, prompting the community to seek redressal from higher authorities.

At 11 a.m. today, a group of Cheruapada locals met at the District Collector’s office with a demand letter outlining their suffering, they handed over the document to the district’s highest-ranking official, urging immediate action to address the water shortage.

As the district administration deals with this important issue, Cheruapada locals await a good response, hoping that their continuous efforts will yield results and put an end to their long-standing fight for access to safe and reliable water supply.
