Sambalpur: Closing Ceremony of Two-day Kite Festival, Fashion shows and dance songs dazzled the 4C Ground
Sambalpur: A two-day Kite Festival organized by Sambalpur Youth on the occasion of Holy Makar Sankranti has ended. On the first day of Sunday, various competitions were held among children, teenagers, young men, and women. More than 500 contestants enthusiastically participated in the fashion show, dance, craft drawing, rangoli, selfie, anchoring, etc.
Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari inaugurated the program on the second day. In the evening, Rengali MLA Nauri Naik attended as the chief guest and awarded the winners of various competitions. Multilingual dance music was the center point of the event. In the ceremony, renowned artists, choreographers, and institutions were felicitated in various fields. Durga Prasad Das was honored for popularizing folk dances and folk songs, Well-known vocalist Nava Mahattam was felicitated for his contributions to folk songs, dramatist Virupaksha Pradhan for music and theater direction, and Debasish Pradhan for his contribution to the field of visual arts. Similarly, in the social sector, Sambal, Yuva Udhayan, and ABCD Charitable Trust were honored.
Sambalpur Youth President Rikan Patnaik of Kite Festival along with Premanand Mahakud, Dasarath Meher, Vikas Bhoi, Anirudh Sharma, Rahul Gupta, Parshuram Panda, Tapas Panda, Swagat Ghadei, Ramashish Tripathi, Manasranjan Baksi, Swagat Padhi, Pritinanda Kar in the lead roles. Lipun Mahapatra, Tapas Panda, Debasish Pradhan, Rakesh Raut, Nilkantha Meshua, Sujit Behera, and Devendra Sahu contributed significantly.
