This evening, after receiving such a complaint, the District Collector took appropriate action. Some time after the complaint, it was found that the concerned doctor was rushed to the health center.
According to the information received, there are government regulations to open urban health centers from 8 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm. It was alleged that the working doctor did not come regularly in the evening to the urban health center in Golebazar. Several patients went for treatment this evening. The doctor did not come to the health center until 5:40 in the evening. Dissatisfaction was expressed among them. A patient’s relative drew the attention to a volunteer. The concerned volunteer immediately drew the attention of District Collector Ananya Das in this regard.
The District Collector took immediate action. She probably called the CDMO and said this. After some time, the concerned doctor reached the hospital. It is worth mentioning that JP Maternity Hospital, which was previously managed by the Municipal Council, was considered as a major hospital in the city. Pregnant women were given priority for treatment in this hospital for delivery and subsequent treatment. The necessary infrastructure is still here. However, there is a shortage of doctors and staff. It is alleged that the doctor who is working here is not giving as much time to the hospital as per the government rules.
