After Son went to Jail, Mother Managed the Empire
White Poison seized started from June month from the Sunapali area of the Dhanupali police station. Every month various amounts are being seized from there and the accused are being arrested. As of now, 6 people from the Sunapali area have been caught by the District Excise Department. But even then the business of White Poison does not stop. If one is arrested, then another member of the family handles the business.
The Excise Department has said that the son of the woman who was arrested on Monday was arrested by the police for taking drugs a few days ago. He is now in jail. After the son’s arrest, his mother handled the deal.
Sunapali has become a hub, is the police asleep?
In June, the excise department seized brown sugar and a large quantity of cough syrup from the Sunapali area. In July, the excise department arrested another person with 13 grams of brown sugar. Similarly, on August 29, the excise department arrested Masoom Ahmed of Sunapali and seized 16 grams of brown sugar. 12 grams of brown sugar from that Sunapali on the 4th of September. During the seizure, 17 grams more were seized on Friday. On Tuesday again, 14 grams of white poison was seized from the same Sunapali area.
When Sunapali became the hub of the drug trade, the trade did not stop, no matter how many arrests were made. But Sambalpur police did not have any news about the transaction of white poison. Now the white poison has become a hub, and brown sugar is being sold at Rs 10,000 per gram in the city, even outside the district. Even after knowing everything, the silence of the Sambalpur police has surprised people. As traffickers target university students and youth, it remains to be seen when the police will take action to stop the trade.
