Sambalpur: Fake police were robbing people in 3-star uniform
The law and order situation in the Sambalpur city is deteriorating. According to sources, the incident took place in Sambalpur district on Tuesday after a man was allegedly falsely identified as a police officer by the Hirakud police station. According to information received, Prashant Mirdha of Badmal area of Atabira police station was wearing a three-star police uniform and calling himself a police officer. He also wore 3 stars and a badge labeled “Prasant Mirza IIC of Police”.
In any case, from collecting money to threatening people, his skills were excellent. Some people were also giving money out of fear. A few months ago, he borrowed Rs 5,000 from Subrata Chhatria of Hirakud police station’s Christianpada area. But when Subrata asked for money, he refused to return it. Eventually Subrata borrowed the address of his house with the help of friends to bring in the money went to his house for money. The money was returned to him by his father. After returning from there, Subrata lodged a complaint with the Hirakud police station. Police are investigating.
