Sambalpur has been honored with the prestigious “BHOOMI SAMMAN ” Award for outstanding performance in DILRMP (Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme)

Sambalpur dist. has been honored with the prestigious “BHOOMI SAMMAN ” by the Government of India under the Ministry of Rural Development, and has been conferred the Award for outstanding performance in DILRMP(Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme), ADM(Rev) received the award from Hon’ble President of India, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The top 68 districts of India have been given this award in terms of land reforms. Former Additional District Collector Umakant Raj received the award from President Draupadi Murmu on behalf of the Sambalpur District Administration. Computerization of land leases, simplification of land registration program, maintenance of modern record rooms, scanning and computerization of land registration papers, among tehsil and registration offices with the help of National Informatics Centre. It has been said by the district administration that this award has been received for expected improvement and successful programs in 9 tehsils of Sambalpur district in the field of coordination etc.
