Sambalpur: New Colony Constructed in Durgapali Kusumpada for Families Displaced by Samlei Project
Sambalpur: In Sambalpur, the state administration has made great progress toward resettling families that were displaced by the Samlei project. In Kusumpada, Durgapli, a distinct colony has been established by guaranteeing sufficient land and homes. The needs of 231 families who relocated from places like Ghunghantipada are being met by this effort. Every family has been given a house and fifteen decimals of land, in addition to 3 lakh seventy-five thousand rupees in government financial aid.
The colony has been equipped with basic facilities including electricity, a supply of clean drinking water, and roads for communication in an effort to give the displaced families a comfortable place to live. Though many homes already have roofs, more than fifty people are still waiting for the roof.
However, the displaced people are hopeful for additional aid from the government and demand a Kalyan mandap. As a sign of continued efforts to meet their requirements, the State Municipal Corporation has promised the relocated inhabitants that a Kalyan mandap will be built within the colony.
All things considered, the government’s commitment to addressing the difficulties encountered by displaced people and guaranteeing their welfare throughout the transition phase is evident in the Samlei project resettlement program.
