Sambalpur: New formula of cyber frauds, deducting Rs 26,000 after death
Sambalpur: In Sambalpur, cyber fraud has once again succeeded in-cheat people using a new formula. After the death of one person, the family has Inadvertently, the cyber fraudster deducted the money from the deceased’s account. After being charged, it’s avery challenging case for the police department. The incident came to light after Jitendra Sahu of Dhanupalli police station near NSCB College lodged a written complaint with the Sambalpur cyber police station on Monday. According to the complaint, his father, Sudham Sahu, died on February 28. But some unknown cyber fraud has been through online transactions in trying empty Sudama’s bank account. Jitendra mentioned in the complaint that a cyber fraudster using Sudam’s mobile number through UPI withdrew Rs 26,832 from the EPFO savings. He reported the matter to police on Monday. Police are investigating.
