Sambalpur: Odia Cine Industry Star War Controversy, Actor Manoj Mishra’s Letter to Chief Minister

Sambalpur: Actor Manoj Mishra has written a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik amid the ongoing controversy over the Odia film Shilva. While he wrote this letter on the 22nd Nov, today he gave information in this regard through social media. Manoj highlighted the important role of the Odisha Film Development Corporation in the development of the Odisha film industry. He elaborated on the various problems faced by the sponsors for making films in Odisha, from stints to initiation to distribution. Along with improving the distribution system, Manoj proposed to crack down on dishonest business dealings between distributors, bookers, cinematographers, cinema hall owners, etc. Manoj has also proposed to take steps to ensure that films made in Odisha can be screened in cinema halls during prime time, bring transparency to the OFDC subsidy policy, and start the “Make in Odisha” scheme for filmmakers.

It is worth mentioning that while Manoj Mishra was saying these things a long time ago, some people were upset about it.
