Sambalpur: RI caught in vigilance net while taking bribe of Rs 5 thousand for land mutation
Sambalpur: While taking bribe for land mutation, Satyanarayan Kaudi, revenue inspector of Gochra in Kuchinda tehsil of Sambalpur district has fallen into the trap of vigilance net. On Thursday for land mutation of Khatu Kisan of Gurua village, the Sambalpur vigilance team caught him while taking a bribe of five thousand rupees from Gochra office.
The vigilance department seized all the bribe money from him and arrested Satyanarayan. Mr. Kisan approached Revenue Inspector Satyanarayan for mutation of his own land. But he demanded a bribe of 5 thousand rupees for this job. He informed the vigilance department about this. The vigilance department gave him money with chemical coating. According to the plan, when he gave the said money to Satyanarayan, the vigilance team caught him.
After filing a case in vigilance case number-5 and arresting Satyanarayan Koudi, he arraigned court on Thursday. The vigilance team raided his Kuchinda Mehuludi residence, his paternal village Jamankira house and the Gochra RI office. Vigilance Department DSP Kavita Sahu, Inspector Sania Budek, C. Belong, Pushpa Tikan was the chief officer present during raid.
