Jharsuguda: The murderer of minister Nab Das has been kept in cell number 3 of Choudwar circle jail. In the case of Mamita Meher, CC cameras have been installed in the cell of Gobind Sahu. Jail department sources have informed that Gopal can be monitored directly from the Jail Superintendent’s office.

Yesterday at around 8:15 PM, he reached the Choudwar circle jail under strict security. As Gopal’s case is pending in the Jharsuguda JMFC Court, Gopal cannot be taken to Jharsuguda frequently from Choudwar circle jail. As Gopal’s life was in danger, he had plead his case through video conferencing (VC) in the jail premises of Choudwar circle jail.

Divisional DIG Shubhakant Mishra said that the crime branch is still keeping the report of Gopal in the Choudwar circle jail of the Large Hospital Mental Health Institute. There is 24-hour security there, it is said that the order to Choudwar circle jail to provide security system may lift the curtain. Gopal’s family should be informed that yesterday Gopal was sent to jail and the third stage of remand period ended. Mr. Mishra said that he can be met with family. Later, after the crime branch officer brought him to the court, he was sent to the police station, then on Monday, Gopal’s 164 statement record was recorded in Jharsuguda. Fear was there in relation to his mental illness.
