Sambalpur: Swaviman Sambalpur Celebrates New Year’s Eve in a unique way: “Sharing Happiness brings Happiness”
Jujumura: People visited the tourist spots in the new year and having fun eating and drinking, but the volunteer organization Swaviman, Sambalpur has celebrated the new year in a unique way. Like the last 7 years, this year too, this program was organized in Hatibari Kushta Ashram premises under Jujumura block of Sambalpur district. A variety of programs were organized to put a smile on the faces of the inmates of the Leprosy Asylum, which is located far from the mainstream of the society, amidst greenery. Organized by Guru Trilochan Tripathi, eminent vocalists Vibhuthi Patnaik, Dilip Bagh, Rajkumar Jal, Pritinanda Mishra, Pooja Munda enjoyed the people with their songs.
Starting from the song ‘Le’le Boulo’, many inmates danced to the tunes of old and new Sambalpuri songs like ‘Bareipali Nuapara Na’, ‘Keve Subhjiba Biha Lagan’. Along with the music program, all the inmates were given new clothes by the association and delicious food was served. Entrepreneur Shila Shiva Prasad joined the program as the chief guest and said, sharing happiness brings happiness and praised Swaviman Sambalpur’s program. The guest of honor, Ashwini Swami, former councilor of Sambalpur Municipal Council, appealed to the organizers to continue the service work. In the meeting chaired by the president of the organization Sanjeev Kansari and coordinated by the editor Shishir Bohidar, two advisors senior journalists Rajaram Padhi, Shovan Pattnaik also spoke.
