Sambalpur: The toy train engine has gone missing. The toys are broken. There are no lights on. The situation is like a snake bite in the park. Over 2 feet of uncultivated grass. Now it is a place for the criminals. The toy train is in a state of disrepair, the people are in despair, Gaurish’s Sahani Garden in the premises of Odisha Fine Art Academy on the edge of Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Ring Road) in Sambalpur city. This park, which was built for the entertainment of small children, is now in ruins. It has fallen into disrepair due to lack of maintenance. The lock has been hanging in front of the park for a long time. The children’s entertainment system is in the oven. About which there is intense dissatisfaction.
In this park, built by SDA, various types of play equipment were installed for the amusement of the children. There was always a crowd for the Toy train here. Children used to enjoy it by paying 5 rupees for the ticket. Now that train has no engine. The train has stopped. All other toys for children are broken and unusable. The big thing is that since the park is closed, a forest situation has arisen here. As the grass is not cut in the park, the uncultivated grass is turning into a forest. People feel afraid to go there because the grass carpet and trees are not taken care of. The local people living here said that the lights inside the park are not on. Debasis Agasti said, every morning and evening we come to travel on the ring road and do the yoga exercises here. Now I am afraid to enter it. The little boy loved to go around the toy train. Since it has been closed for a long time, the little boy comes here and returns disappointed.
SDA secretary Prabhas Chandra asked the police force and said that some of the equipment is damaged and now it is being repaired. A train will run soon. And in a few days it will be completely repaired and handed over to the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation for its management, he said.
