Sambalpur: The elderly couple were beaten and robbed gold jewellery

Sambalpur: Law and order in the city of Sambalpur is deteriorating day by day. As the Sital Sasti approaches, criminals have begun to terrorize. At one point, the Police department was marching on the flagpole for the Sital Sasti, On the other hand, an elderly couple was attacked near Dhanupali police station Sambalpur city station and lakhs of rupees and gold jewellery were looted. In the afternoon, more than 7 robbers broke into the house, beat the elderly couple and looted it.

According to reports, the miscreants broke into his shop at around 2.45pm on Friday.
They then slapped Shyamsunder Dalmia and tied his hands and feet and threw him into a corner. His wife, Saroj Dalmia, was also beaten and her limbs were tied and the gold necklace she was wearing was taken away. Then the thugs broke into the house and searched for money and jewellery. With the destruction of goods, the miscreants fled the house with Rs 110,000 and various belongings.

According to Shyam’s son Tilak Dalmia, at around 3am, someone opened the door of his room and entered. Asked what had happened, he ran away without saying a word. When he came downstairs, his mother’s hands and feet were tied. He searched for his father but could not find him. After a search, he found his father in a similar condition. Both were severely beaten by the miscreants and their limbs tied. They were robbed and taken away. Upon receiving the information, Dhanupali police reached the spot and started investigating.
