Sambalpur: Vimsar’s illegal Medicine shop is a Big Corruption, Notice to leave the campus by 13 Dec

Burla: In Vimsar Hospital, Corruption is on the rise. Allegedly, the controversial officer of Vimsar was the mastermind behind all the planning of the mega-corruption until it was leased out. However, the issue of illegal drug stores on the Vimsar Hospital campus was revealed later. When this incident happened, Health Secretary and Commissioner Shalini Pandit asked the President of Vimsar Medical College how this illegal drug shop was opened without permission from the government.

Regarding this, the Chairman of Vimsar issued a letter number 7735 on the 5th and cancelled the lease of the medicine shop, and ordered to vacate the hospital campus by the 13th. In this directive, it has been stated that the shop was leased in the name of M/s Satish Kumar Nath while the shop was opened in the name of M/s Sairam.

The health department’s letter number 4538 dated 27-2-2017 has instructed not to open any new medicine shop on the hospital premises and to cancel the lease of the existing medicine shop. Since last February 2015, the private dispensary lease has been cancelled by the government since the introduction of a complete free drug service in Vimsar Hospital. Based on the rules of the health department, the lease was cancelled by Vimsar’s tax authority on 12/9/2023 letter no 5701. It has even been stated that the affidavit has been filed on behalf of Vimsar’s tax counsel on behalf of the owner of the illegal medicine shop in the High Court regarding the writ petition.

It is mentioned that no stay order has been issued by the High Court against the shop and no order has been given to the Vimsar to run the said shop on the campus. There are even mentions of disobedience of court orders and falsehoods. In this regard, VIMSAR Chairperson Professor Jayshree Dora has issued a directive to vacate the hospital campus by the 13th of December as per the law. It is also mentioned that action will be taken against the owner of the drug shop as per government rules if the Vimsar campus is not vacated within the above scheduled time. However, cancellation of the lease of illegal drug stores and its removal from the campus will not be limited to pen and paper, Prashad said.
