Sambalpur: The All India Fair Price Shop Dealers’ Federation has warned that it will stop the ration service on the first day of January. The Federation has been demanding 9 points for a long time and has taken this decision to fulfill the demand. As a result, a demand letter has been given to the district supply officer on behalf of the union in Sambalpur and this warning has been given. A 9-point demand letter has been given to the Sambalpur District Supply Officer by the Federation.
District President Ratikant Mohanty, under the leadership of Vice President Amit Agrawal, the members went to the office of the District Supply Officer and protested in front of it. They demanded to pay the monthly income of Rs 50 thousand to the dealers and to pay the previous remaining amount to the dealers. In addition to this, all the dealers have been included in the state government’s Biju health card scheme and provided life insurance of Rs. 25 lakhs. There is a problem in the process of giving ration without Internet service, making arrangements for giving ration with the help of an Aadhaar card, converting it to the household system, and including some extra items in the ration materials, besides this, about 1 kg of food grains are being lost.
It is demanding compensation of 50 lakh rupees to the dealers who have died due to Corona. The union, on the other hand, said that if the demands are not met, the ration service will be stopped on January 1. During the Corona period, the dealers risked their lives by keeping social distance and selling rations to the poor despite the hardships. However, dealers have been struggling with this problem for a long time when this job is the only job for the dealers to support their families. These 9-point demands have been made many times before the government. If this is fulfilled, Federation has been forced to take this step.
