Sambalpur: Woman attempts suicide by jumping from the roof of a college hostel

Sambalpur: A female employee of a private college near Sason Thana Majhipali attempted suicide today by jumping from the roof. She was rescued and taken to Burla Vimsar in critical condition. The female employee, while working as a cook, jumped from the 5-storey roof of the hostel on Monday.

The 19-year-old woman’s home is said to be in the Balangir district, according to the information. She was employed as a cook at a private college. She attempted suicide by jumping from the 5th floor of the building at 8 a.m. today. Her left leg was broken after she jumped off the roof. She is in critical condition and has been admitted to Burla Hospital. The reason for the suicide attempt was unknown when police arrived and began investigating.
