Sambalpur: Thieves stole gold jewellery and cash worth around Rs. 10 lakh from a residential flat on the Kainsir road in Sambalpur. The incident took place in a flat located in Singhpali.
Owner Was Away at Parental Home
According to N. Rajani, who lodged a complaint at the Ainthapali police station, she had locked her flat and gone to her parents’ house in Ambiranagar. However, yesterday morning, she received information that her house had been broken into.

Valuables Missing
Upon returning, she discovered that the lock was broken and several valuable items had been stolen. These included gold chains, three gold necklaces, gold coins, gold earrings, silver ornaments, and Rs. 50,000 in cash.
Police Investigation Underway
After she lodged a formal complaint, the police registered a case and began an investigation. However, even after 24 hours, the Ainthapali police have not been able to trace the thieves.
