Sambalpur: Third degree to the minor child inside Sadar police station. Suspecting a thief, the locals caught the child and handed it over to the police. The police also came and took away the child. Police arrested the child for 6 days in the police station. The child was beaten in such a way that his hands, legs and face were scarred. On 27th, when the said minor went down to drink water in the area of Sadar Thana Sindurpank, he forget the way. Meanwhile, while he was looking for a way, a man called him a thief and caught him and handed him over to the police. Sadar Thana police also demanded 50 thousand from the minor. But even after Childline made such a charge and spoke against the minor girl, the police did not take any action. As a result, such indifference towards child cases has raised questions about the working style of the police.
