Sambalpur: Sambalpur Gears Up for 78th Independence Day Celebration; Preparatory Meeting Held
Sambalpur: District Collector Akshay Sunil Agrawal chaired a preparatory meeting for the district’s 78th Independence Day celebration. The main guest will hoist the national flag at 9:15 a.m. and then deliver an address following the parade salute. At 5 a.m., the district information and public relations department will broadcast Ramdhun throughout the city via loudspeakers. Several activities will follow, including the garlanding of martyr statues in various locations throughout the city.

Parade Rehearsals and Arrangements
Parade rehearsals will take place at 3 p.m. on August 11, 12, and 13 on the main road near Nelson Mandela Chhak. There were discussions about parade ground decoration, barricade construction, law and order enforcement, drinking water supply, cleanliness, and temporary shelter arrangements. Each department was advised to add lighting to their offices.

CDO-cum-EO Dharmendra Mallik, Sadar Sub-Collector Dr. Pushpanjali Panda, officers from various departments, social workers, educators, media representatives, and NGO officials attended the meeting. Sanjukta Kulu, District Information and Public Relations Officer delivered the vote of thanks at the meeting’s conclusion.
