Sambalpur: Students’ Protest in front of Sambalpur University
Burla: Students of various colleges led by AIDSO staged a protest in front of the main gate of Sambalpur University in protest against the inordinate delay in publishing the results of re-evaluation of the fifth semester. As PG and BED entrance exams are coming up, students are worried about the exam results. Earlier, on June 20, the demand protest for the release of the results was presented before the university.
The authorities promised to release the results within 15 days but failed to release the results. Therefore, in protest, the students sat for a long time in front of the university, demanding the publication of the results. The agitation was finally withdrawn after the authorities held talks with a student representative group and promised to release the results on August 16.
AIDSO State Secretary Congregational Member Sunil Bhoi, State Council Member and Balangir District President Rajendra Rana, Balangir District Secretary Madhusudan Bagh, Gauri Raut, Kamlesh Deep, Shrivanta Suna, Sipunesh Naik, Mitesh Bagh, Nutan Kumar Hota, Damam Potter are the main leaders of this protest.
