Sambalpur: Sambalpur University Achieves ‘MERU’ Recognition; Central Government to Provide Rs. 100 Crore Grant for Comprehensive Development
Sambalpur: Sambalpur University received prestigious recognition as a ‘MERU’ (Multidisciplinary Education and Research University) under the PM-Usha (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) scheme. The Secretary of Higher Education from the Ministry of Education finalized this decision during the third Project Approval Board (PAB) meeting, held virtually.
The meeting aimed to include various universities and colleges across states in independent development programs. Sambalpur University stood out among the selected institutions and received a nomination for ‘MERU’ recognition.

Rs. 100 Crore Grant for Comprehensive Development
